This follows the NCERT Class 5 chapter "Racing Seconds". 1 minute = 60 seconds and 1 hour = 60 minutes. After noon, add 12 to the hour to change to the 24-hour format (07:45 p.m. is 19:45 hours). To find an end time, add the hours first and then the minutes. A football match has two 45-minute halves and a 15-minute half-time break.
